Welcome to Mining Engineering Department

The Department of Mining Engineering at Government Polytechnic Bhuj was started in the year 1996 with the approval of the All-India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). This Mining Engineering Department is the unique and Single Department in whole Gujarat State. Over the years, the department has progressed at a rapid pace with the development in both the spheres of infrastructure facilities and faculty members. Its kind in the state with excellent facilities for teaching and widespread activities in coal and non-coal/ Metalliferous mining sectors. The department has highly qualified faculty excellence in various fields.

2. Students will be able to engage themselves in various technical posts offered by mining industries and develop professionalism with required competencies.

3. Students will easily adapt the day-to-day changes in method and technologies by using their creative potentials to address issues related to mining, societal, and environmental.

1. Students will be able to operate Flame Safety Lamp effectively.

2. Students will be able to test percentage of inflammable gas.
