On January 7, 2025, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Gandhidham organized a successful program, Standards Carnival 2025, at Maitri School, Adipur to spread awareness of innovation and BIS standards. Schools, industries and educational institutions of Kutch participated enthusiastically. Government Polytechnic Bhuj presented three projects, in which the project “3D Printing Machine” was presented by the fourth semester students of Mechanical Department, Navdeep Rathod, Rudra Karatela, Darshan Vasani and Vinay Kumar Singh, while the Mining Department presented two projects, “Belt Tensioner and Fire Stopping” which were presented by Mitul Ode, Dhruv Solanki, Mayank Jhala, Dev Patel, Varun Chaudhary and Rajni Parmar. Activities like project display, quiz competition and project presentations were conducted in this program.

The Industrial Exposure Visit organized by the Standard Club of Government Polytechnic Bhuj, with the assistance of BIS, Gandhidham branch, aimed to provide students with practical insights into industrial processes.

On April 9, 2024, at the Auditorium of Government Polytechnic Bhuj, a Standard Writing Competition was organized by the Standard Club of the institution under the guidance of Shri Divyanshu Lokwani, Lecturer, Department of Mechanical Engineering and Mentor of the Standard Club of the institution.
